Benelli 251 S
The Benelli 250cc range now features a brand new addition: the 251S. The completely revolutionised small naked 250cc developed by the Pesaro motorcycle company returns to the European market with a comprehensive restyling, designed to capture the attention of the younger generations but also of those who are approaching the two-wheel world for the very first time.
A motorcycle boasting a contemporary spirit, designed to ensure maximum fun in curves, enhanced by a racing and eye-catching look, with new features such as the new design of the front full LED headlamp, and the new look of the graphics on the now entirely digital dashboard. What give it an even bolder spirit are the low license plate holder and the new exhaust design, featuring dynamic and racinginspired lines. The graphics have also been restyled, now more trendy and eyecatching, as has the colour range: 251S is now available in white, black and flash green.
251S has a liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, four-stroke engine with a double overhead camshaft timing and electronic fuel injection, which means it is capable of guaranteeing the best possible performance for this type of vehicle, first and foremost reducing fuel consumption. Its maximum power is 25.8 hp (19 kW) at 9250 rpm, with torque of 21.1 Nm (2.15 kgm) at 8000 rpm.
The chassis has been designed and engineered to accomplish maximum ease of handling, for a sleek, snappy and responsive bike both in the city and when tackling curves. The 251S chassis features a compact and heavy-duty steel trellis frame, while the suspensions feature an upside-down fork with 41 mm diameter legs on the front and a rear swinging arm with a central monoshock adjustable in the spring preload, and 51 mm travel.
The braking system also meets the required guarantees, and the 251S relies on a 280 mm diameter disc with 4-piston callipers at the front, and 240 mm diameter disc with a single-piston calliper at the rear, ensuring control of the motorcycle even in conditions of limited stopping distances. The 17" aluminium alloy rims mount a 110/70 tyre on the front and 150/60 at the rear.
251S will be available in white, black and flash green starting from March 2020.
